Previously, I'd posted the obituary list here. Well, "Stars & Stripes" finally printed E's obituary.
It's in the 14 January European Edition. It's page 36, in the Classifieds.
It's a tad late, but we wanted it in the "Stars & Stripes" since we'd spent so much time in Germany.

I would have posted this a week ago
except for computer problems.
JUST MY OPINION:
Reid magnanimously demonstrated maturity and wisdom beyond his years by arranging for me to have the opportunity to see Ellicia, tell her how much I love her and to say goodbye. I can not find the words to express my heartfelt appreciation.
Although my visit was short (about an hour) it by no means detracted from its importance to me. I could have stayed with her all day and night just to be near her. I did not want to over stay my welcome and Reid still had arrangements to complete.
Ellicia's Dad
Ellicia, I have been trying to find the words for a tribute with little success. Then I remembered something I had read some time age. Based on what I have been able to glean form Reid and her many friends on the blog, I think it appropriate:
"To laugh often and much;to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others/to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition;to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. this is to have succeeded." ---Ralph Waldo Emerson
I'll look for you at heavens gate--until than I will always love you. Dad
