Yummy

M named the ingredients to her sandwich for lunch today.

She's happily munching away on her Peanut Butter, Bologna, and Cheese sandwich.

I know.

At least it's not a Peanut Butter and mayonnaise sandwich.

What, no sardines?

My favorite as a kid was cheddar cheese and apple jelly...

What's wrong with PB and mayo??

Tom, do you put cheese on your apple pie? My husband insists it's the grossest thing....but the kids are on my side.

Well, I have been known to nibble cheese with apple pie, but not to actually put it *on* the pie...

part protein, part American, part dairy - 100% kid! They love the unthinkable combinations. Hope things are going well for you.

I'm not sure which is better: That, or my kids being picky and having nothing more than lunch meat and mayo.

At least, you have some good stories to tell.

Reid, I must ask, what is bologna? We do not have anything by that name here in Australia - as you know, we have vegemite instead.

Colleen,
Bologna, also called boloney, is a thin processed meat used as a cold-cut for various delicious sandwiches.

It's sort of like ham... but, not quite.

Much more soft and squishy, usually circular.

Vegemite... mmmm, mmmm. I need to introduce my wife to vegemite.

Mary*Ann, Lucy was my first thought, too. Showing our age! We used to eat mustard and ketchup sandwiches and pretend they were hamburgers. Too many years ago to mention!

Pish Posh... you're not showing your age.

I love "I Love Lucy" re-runs.

Don't get them on AFN, but... one-day...
