Army Strong
There'll be all new ads coming out beginning 09 Nov.
We've gone from the classic (and still timeless) "Be All You Can Be", to the never-understood "Army of One" and now, "Army Strong".
I'm curious what y'all think of the new slogan and perhaps some creative ways it could be used in advertising. Before any Code Pink'ers come in, please refrain from anything super obvious like "Army Strong? Army Wrong!"
Opinions? Thoughts?
And if you'd like a sneak peek at one of the commercials, then click here (or even better, right click and download it). We've watched it, and you know what? I'd enlist all over again. It is powerful, motivating, and sends the right message. It is great to see an ad that tries to bring new recruits that also re-affirms the choice for those of us already in. Wow, wow, wow.
Very glad "Army of One" is gone... it was such a horrible slogan and the wrong focus. The Army is never about oneself. It's about the Team, the Unit, the Mission... all things larger than oneself.

I really like the new commercial. VERY powerful!!
I never understood the Army of One thing either. Could you explain it? Or would it just take too long?
I like all the different "strength" things the commercial focuses on (character, physical, etc. etc).
The pictures that go along with the slogans are awesome!
Never much cared for The Army of One, sure individuals make up the whole...but I don't think it focused on being part of a cohesive unity or team. I like the new slogan and think focusing on Strength and Honor is really appropriate. The commercial was pretty powerful!
I did always like the Be all you can be ads.
what was wrong with the original and timeless "be all you can be"?
Interesting commercial... but a commercial nontheless
Well, I must say that this is a very good recruiting commercial. Thank God they got rid of the Army of One!!!! That was absolutely the worst slogan I had ever heard of...for ANYTHING! "Army Strong" is still not as good as "Be all that you can be," which they never should have canned, but this is a marked improvement. The music- powerful; the images- powerful; the slogan- powerful. Good job, ARMY! BUT :-) it still isn't as good, or as timeless, as "The Few, The Proud, The Marines." OORAH! Semper Fi! -David
