Malta!

Going to Malta on R&R leave. Anyone ever been? I never have, so this should be interesting. Some place I've NEVER been before.

Malta is a small island in the Mediterranean. Ellicia and I are going by ourselves (well, we're taking Thomas...)

Just a week alone... exploring. Relaxing.

So, if you've been to Malta, I'd love to hear from you...

Haven't been, but it's a nice little Italian island that is old. Will have pretty town hall and churches, I imagine. Have a wonderful time!

A large population of Maltese people live in Mackay (Queensland, Australia). They are predominantely of a Roman Catholic background, very religious, family orientated and hard working people. The older families that arrived in Mackay about 55 years ago all worked on and bought sugar cane farms.

Malta was wonderful! Make sure you visit the city of Medina and try their pricklely pear liquor - it's very good. Also they have tons of historical things about the Knights of the Cross. They are the only place (according to my tour guide) that writes in arabic using the roman (what ever we write in) alphabet.

Enhoy your time!
