What to do with this blog?
I originally started this blog as both my own diary and an easy way to communicate with the entire extended family in one fell swoop.
It has, obviously, become so much more than that - however, the original purposes are still there.
The idea was that this was for my duration of my time in Afghanistan. As it seems that that has come to an abrupt end... what now?
Should the blog continue? Perhaps a renaming?
I am welcoming and open to suggestions. Please.

It is of course up to you. I know many times in life writing my feelings about things happening has helped a lot. It kind of helps to vent a little too. Even when I was little I would write things down and throw it away, but the writing helped me to see things more clearly sometimes too.
I hope that makes sense.
More then anything I want you to know that you and your family are in our prayers. Like you said, you have a different battle to fight now.
Keep your blog if you can, even if it is random posting. Kind of like a friend that is always there for you if you need to talk and they
(your blog) will listen.
By all means, keep up the blog. It is still your diary but with a new twist. You will want to look at all this one day, and this is an important part of your life right now. Change the name if you wish, but it is still a storm. Storms are found all over--in Afghanistan and at home. Writing will help you weather those storms.
Thank you, Lord, that the cancer extends no further than was already known. We pray for the treatments to work quickly and thoroughly.
Hey, Reid! Seems to me your blog has been helpful to you in just organizing your thoughts on different things. I agree with your mom in that this is another storm. The details would be easy to lose without your writing them down. Prayers continue for all of you from me & mine. Hugs, Katy
Reid, you have too many people that care about you Ellicia and all the family to reply to individually therefore we do hope you can find the time to keep this blog going as we all look forward to reading your updates. We have received an update today from your mother on Ellicias tests. Our prayers are with you all.

Keep it going if you have the time. Your friends, the ones you already had and the new ones you have made, are all praying for Ellicia, you and the children. They want to stay in touch. Don't change the name either. Your storm began in Afghanistan but it continues wherever life takes you and them.

Ditto what everybody else said...we would miss the blog...you are a good writer and your perspective would be missed..but it's what's best for you and Ellicia that's important right now.
I hope you keep the blog up and I agree with the others that the name is still appropriate. As long as it doesn't become burdensome to you, your posts are greatly appreciated by your extended blog-family.

I've only been reading your blog for several months but I'm hooked! I have a friend in the motorpool of TF Storm , making your blog informative as well as interesting. Your blog is like a good book that's hard to put down. You're a very talented writer. We'll all understand if you stop blogging (but we'll all miss it, I'm sure!) and if you do, hopefully, every now and then you'll just send us a quick update on everything. You're like family, now! Will keep praying for your "storm" to pass and make way for brighter, sunnier days!
