I'm sure in the States you couldn't turn on a news channel without each doing their special coverage of the fifth anniversary of the attacks. We watched CNN in the hospital, and one thing noticed was how the commentators just could not stop talking - even over the moments of silence and the National Anthem.
Sadly, apparently they feel a need to remind people what happened on 11 September. Who doesn't know? I'm not talking about those who wish to pretend it didn't happen, or that the government did it, or Bush knew, etc... but who doesn't know that the towers fell, the Pentagon was attacked, and there was another plane that didn't quite make it to the target?
It was interesting to see rare (on network news anyway) footage of the attacks. It's "too difficult" for us to watch, right? More likely, it's necessary for us to watch, but it's easier to forget about 11 September if we don't let anyone be reminded of it.
I encourage looking at this video. It's a different viewpoint than we're used to seeing. It's home camera footage from an apartment a block or so away from the WTC. Like watching Titanic, you know what's coming next, but you watch anyway. You're engrossed... Maybe this time, it won't happen.
Take a look. Yes, it's long, but can't we all spare some time to remember?

Watched it at Michelle Malkin...you're right, have to watch, maybe there will be a different ending. But there isn't...we are still at war. I still think this should be shown everyday. We need to stay mad and focused.

THe indiviudal recording zoomed in to the bottom of the North Tower soon before the collapse of the South Tower, just in time. This video confirms the smoke coming from the street level soon before the collapse, that I've seen in other videos. What do you think the smoke is a result?
Bob, I think, said that 'there are people jumping' a few moments before the collapse of the North Tower. Do you think these people knew what was about to happen to the building? What could have been the 'signal' to jump? As the collapse progresses down the tower, you can see 'bananna peel' like shoots coming from floors well above the lower collapse zone. What is causing these 'shoots'? Didn't the weight from the upper floors cause the bottom floors to collapse?
After rewinding to right before the North Tower collapse, there is no visual indication of the collapse (Bob does say 'OMG'), until the camera pans up and first catches a huge piece of the outer structural steel flying at least 50 feet outward and down well ahead of the rest of the collapse. What caused such huge chunk of welded steel that had to be at least 500 pounds to fly from the building right before/as the building was collapsing?
It has been proposed that people were jumping from explosions going on inside the building right before the total collapse.
