I have a student with PTSD - I can say that it's a (expletive here)ing hard thing to deal with.
Yet, those who claim the stress, without any real history of trauma, tend to undermine the reality of it.

You may know better than some what I meant when I said that it isn't only combat that can produce this. I was, and remain, deeply sorry for your loss.
