My diary. Join me as I, and my family, journey through the Storms of Life. From Afghanistan, to our battle with Cancer, to the battles still to come, as we face Tomorrow.

This made me think of something you wrote last year, something our first SA soldier said, and that I've read in several other blogs and articles recently. I just keep thinking about WWII. They were fighting for our civilization too, don't think they had to worry about all this. Sad.
The PC police weren't around in WWII, and there were many, many more patriots (including the press) who were willing to do all in their power to help the cause. I remember the ration books, kids going around gathering rubber, watching my daddy peel & save the foil off the inside of his cigarette packs and chewing gum wrappers(don't know what it's use was). Today's NY Times would have had to close - nobody would have patronized a paper who revealed secrets. Nobody would have voted for Congressmen who did not support the troops and the war.
Just wanted to let you know about www.takepride.com:
Takepride is a project dedicated to showing the service-members support using stylish t-shirts. We are hoping to inspire and give more young individuals a cool way to express their support. We would apreciate any imput and support you can provide.
It is with HOPE,FAITH & LOVE I share Calling to BE..Warriors with you. I was a former member of The "Princess of Wales Own Regiment", and though I've never seen action as a soldier, I've seen plenty as a Warrior. I don't think I know...I just know I'm thinking. your humble servant, Ancient Clown
