Timing

I was getting ready to go to bed. Started to turn off the TV, and instead flipped. First channel I flipped to, one I never watch, was ABC Family. Apparently it was in the middle of Steel Magnolias. The graveyard scenes.

So touching.

And felt like it was me, right there...

And good to hear.

Sigh.

Of the dozens of times I've seen that movie, that scene never fails to touch my soul and leave me in tears.

I know it doesn't help, but know that there are many of us out here wishing we could lift some of that pain from your heart and keeping you and your children in our prayers

I can't watch that scene without sobbing!

Been thinking about you a lot, SC. M*A sent me the pics of her visit with you...awesome! (And yes, you are just a big kid!)

Been there buddy. Lost my wife at 45 in 1999. Followed your struggle when Thirdwavedave got onto it. I would sit in the hot tub and think of it all and pray. Took months to quit crying when feelings would return especially watching the screen. God is so good. Helped my daughter and I get through it. Then He blessed me with a new partner 4 years ago. It shall pass. You are still in our prayers.

May you and your family be blessed,

Vic

Dittos to tink and anna - I watch Steel Magnolias any time I see it one, and I cry every time at that part.
I also love that scene (and the whole movie) for how strong the friendships are, and how much they take care of each other.
Glad you were able to watch it, and wish there was more we could do besides send our prayers.
